mary ann's bakery site - redevelopment
sacramento, ca

The project involves the development of a six-story building with 332 residential units and a total building area of 443,000 square feet, along with a separate 322-stall parking structure located behind the building on a full city block. The site, formerly home to the Mary Ann's bakery factory, will be repurposed into apartments. The project plans to restore the existing brick warehouse facade, incorporating it into the design of resident amenities such as a lounge, fitness center, lobby, and co-working space.

To reduce the scale and massing of the building in relation to the surrounding neighborhood, the building mass steps in at key points. The development aims to preserve and enhance the historic characteristics of the site, ensuring the new construction blends seamlessly with the residential scale and style of the surrounding area.
