CENTER FOR SACRAMENTO HISTORY
SACRAMENTO, ca
HRGA developed a conceptual design for the Sacramento History Center. The project site is located in the center of Sacramento with a program area of 140,000 sf. The project’s vision is to create a space where nature, culture, history and the future can be fused together. The center will offer a connection point to the Sacramento history and local characteristics of the area. The proximity to Cesar Chavez park reinforces the connection to the central city activity. The terrace on the top floor can be used as an exhibition space as well as an outdoor venue for local theater and festival events. The central exhibition space on the ground floor opens up visually through glass facades connecting the interior spaces with the adjacent city streets.
