The coffee shop of 400 sq.ft. is located on a street level storefront in the intimate, East Culver City Arts District. The space has a unique cast in place concrete wall as one enters, along with polished concrete floors. The floor plan of the coffee shop is unique in that it breaks down the separation between barista and customer with an island configuration. This encourages dialogue about coffee and allows the customers to experience the coffee making process. The back bar wall is constructed with white oak veneer panels that is CNC'd with a geometrical custom pattern. This creates a strong point of view about the cognoscenti coffee brand as well as suggesting coffee science.
