COLUSA HALL, CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, CHICO
CHICO, ca
Originally built in 1921, this approximately 10,000 square foot historic building has undergone a painstaking renovation that has preserved its exterior character while transforming its interior into a modern conference and learning center. Exterior work involved replacement of the door/window system with double glazed units, repair and re-pointing of brick veneer and new roofing. Interior work included a professional and fully mediated facility for conference and academic meetings with flexible and dividable capability for three different space configurations ranging from 1,800-asf to 4500-asf and seating up to 200 people. The renovation also provided six smart classrooms, lobby and reception areas, a business center and a warming kitchen.
