Maker features 137 market-rate apartments, 9,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, and 97 parking spaces utilizing a mechanical parking system. The project will consist of six stories of wood-frame construction (Type III-A with AMMR) above a single-level concrete podium (Type I-A), encompassing a total building area of 171,000 square feet.
The exterior will be finished with horizontal cement board siding and textured stucco in neutral tones, contrasted with lighter and darker accents. Metal window frames will provide additional articulation to the facade.
Amenities for residents, including outdoor patios, will be located on the second floor, positioned above the main entry. The industrial aesthetic of the surrounding area inspires the building’s design, while the design prioritizes indoor-outdoor connections in social spaces, embodying the essence of California living.
